The Internet Society South Africa Chapter (ISSAC) will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, 19 June 2025, from 17:00 to 19:00, taking place simultaneously across four venues in Gauteng, Western Cape, Northern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal. The AGM serves as a platform to present the Chapter’s Annual Report, share the Financial Report, and facilitate the election of a new Executive Committee. Members will be able to participate in discussions, ask questions, and cast their votes through a secure online voting platform that will be shared during the session. Nominations for the Executive Committee are now open, and all members are encouraged to put forward candidates committed to advancing ISSAC’s mission.

2. Nominate a candidate
Are you passionate about Internet access, digital rights, and community empowerment? Do you know someone who is? The time to step up is now!
We are calling on all ISSAC members to nominate candidates for the 2025–2026 Executive Committee—leaders who will guide the chapter’s strategy, activities, and advocacy over the next two years.

The ISSAC 2024–2025 Annual Report reflects a year of growth, collaboration, and meaningful impact across South Africa’s Internet ecosystem. It highlights key achievements in digital skills development, community engagement, multistakeholder advocacy, and the promotion of Internet governance principles.
From hosting national awareness events and remote participation hubs to driving youth-focused initiatives and strengthening partnerships with civil society and industry, the report showcases ISSAC’s commitment to an open, inclusive, and resilient Internet. It also provides insight into our strategic priorities, challenges faced, and the groundwork laid for continued progress in 2025 and beyond.
