Cybercrime and Online Safety

Cybercrime and Online Safety

Cybersecurity threats have escalated significantly in recent years, posing immense risks to individuals, businesses, and governmental institutions in South Africa. As digitalization advances, we must equip our citizens with the necessary knowledge and tools to safeguard themselves from cyber-attacks.

The increasing sophistication and frequency of cyber-attacks pose a significant challenge to South Africa's digital landscape. Cybercriminals target individuals, corporations, and government entities, exploiting vulnerabilities in networks, systems, and applications. A comprehensive online session will educate participants about the various attack vectors, such as phishing, ransomware, and malware, and provide essential tips to counteract these threats effectively.

In these sessions, we will also look into the use of AI in attacks and how it can be leveraged to protect systems.

The sessions will be conducted on the ZOOM online video conference platform to allow us to invite speakers and participants and record the sessions so we can further improve and edit them for online distribution.
